EU-CIEMBLY in Portuguese Sign Language: Making Democracy More Accessible

EU-CIEMBLY is pleased to present a new video introducing the project in Portuguese Sign Language (Língua Gestual Portuguesa – LGP), interpreted by Telmo Fernandes. The video provides an accessible introduction to EU-CIEMBLY - Creating an Inclusive European Citizens’ Assembly, its objectives and the work carried out by the project so far, relfected in the project's second leaflet.

As the project responds to the need for new forms of citizens’ participation and deliberation in European political life and aims to develop a prototype for a Citizens’ Assembly that places intersectionality, inclusiveness and equality at the centre of democratic participation. Making information available in different and accessible formats is an important part of ensuring that more people can learn about and engage with democratic participation. Through this LGP interpretation, we are pleased to bring the work and vision of EU-CIEMBLY to a wider audience.
