Game title: Little Democracy
Didactic-pedagogical content: EU-CIEMBLY – equipa UC
Concept and narrative design: Alexandra Aragão and Lucía Muñoz
Software customizer: Telmo Quinteiro
“Little Democracy” is a game inspired by the mechanics of “Little Alchemy”, where players combine concepts to discover new elements. Instead of natural elements, the game uses terms related to democracy, drawn from the Glossary previously developed within the EU-CIEMBLY project (https://www.eu-ciembly.eu/en/glossary).
Trough experimentation and the combination of elements, players interactively explore key concepts such as participatory democracy, participatory democracy, responsible communication, minority or discrimination, fostering an engaging and educational understanding of democracy.
How to play: you’re given 5 concepts to begin (person, information, rule, emotion and difference). Try combining these with themselves and each other to discover new concepts. Pull the concepts into the upper compartment to combine. There are 70 in total.
