The Colchester Assembly: We gathered 50 participants, bringing together University of Essex students and local Colchester residents to navigate the complexities of housing.

A Living Laboratory: The pilot moved our project from an analytical framework into practical application, designing mechanisms for intersectional equality and dismantling structural barriers.

Co-Design Process: The assembly was shaped collaboratively through workshops with local community organisers and student representatives, ensuring the process was designed with the participants.

Intersectional Inclusion: The assembly embraced lived experience as a vital form of expertise, engaging deeply with how gender, ethnicity, and age shape our social realities.

Looking Ahead: We are taking the lessons learned from this local pilot to refine and scale our framework for the upcoming National Citizens' Assembly in Cyprus!
